During the hours I had with my mentor I had to communicate a lot with him because of all the wires and outlets we had to set up. One false mistake and it would end up bad for both of us. We really had to be creative because at some points we had to drill holes and had to put wires into tight spaces. The electrician business is very difficult but if you are really creative and know what you are doing you will really be able to run through it smoothly. I know in my part and my mentors part that all the jobs we did it ended in success and I know that the customers were satisfied with our work.
I learned that electricans just don't work with wires they also have to add construction in there business. In our process there were some points where we had to drill holes and break down a wall. I know I worked hard and it really payed off because it make me realize that I really want to persue this because I really like this type of business. Working with my mentor make me realize that you really need communication with this job due to all of the wires. You have to think a lot in this job because there are obsticales you have to pass through.
At one point in the job we did we had to go buy parts at Home Depot so we went and bought then and made sure the job was done properly and right. We had to drills holes in the house to pass through the wires to their designated outlets. It took a while to do it but it worked out because the job came out clean and everything seemed to be in the right place.

I met with my mentor and basically all we did was just talk about electrican stuff and about all of our memories and all the things he had taught me during his time as my mentor. We really became close and I know if I ever need help with anything related to electrian business in the furture I know I can count on him. I asked him a few question on what will it be like at first in the apprenticeship business and he said dont be nervous give it your 110% because you never know whos watching. I finished my hours. In total we did 30 hours together.

We worked at a house and set up receptacles around the house which are basically outlets. This task was pretty difficult because while we were working we had to change a few wires and at one point we didnt know it they were hot or not. We connected all of the wires and put in two outlets and checked if they worked. During this time my mentor would recap and tell me all the tools we used.

My mentor invited me to go check up on the house we did next to South San Francisco High School and when we got there he told me he was going to set up a few lights in the garage then we were going to set up outlets inside the house and in the garage. We broke through the wall to see the cables that were inside of it and from there we connected knew outlets that we bought in Home Depot. We connected all the cables together and after connected the lights in the garage which were pretty simple to do. This took us a good 4 hours of hard work.

I met up with my mentor and we talked about what steps he took on becoming an electrician. He told me how he started off by entering an apprenticeship and from there he got accepted to a job called Tri Bay in San Jose. During his apprenticeship he learn how to do many different tasks and how to live on the field of an electrician. He told me that it was pretty easy that you just had to be focused and to be good in math.

So today me and my mentor worked on a sidejob he had and we set up two lighting inside of a garage. The lights we instaled had to have new cables run through it so we connected them first into the main fuse box inside the house. From there we run the wires to the lights and connected them. We had to drills some holes and I got to see how cables had to be connected into the main fuse box in your house. This took about 5 hours.

On this day I went to my mentors house and I asked him many questions about what his job is about. He first started by asking me what I thought an electrician was so I responded by telling him that they are people who work on cables and install lighting and he said that is most of the job. He told me that they also do construstion to put cables in the walls. Overall I asked him what he mainly does in his job.

I just met with my mentor in the morning and we worked again at the house we did last time. We ended up installing motion lights outside in the backyard and on the side of the house. This took 4 hours to instal due to all of the cables we had to run through the walls.
